We are late in getting out January's newsletter. We had a vicious ice storm here in Joplin, Missouri that knocked out electricity to most of the city. I was fortunate in losing electricity for only a few hours, but we lost internet access for two weeks. Then the holidays came, and all the year-end ministry paperwork that has to be filed. When you get behind, it takes awhile to catch up.
Three things have happened recently that greatly encourage me.
First, I have been contacted by WOF ministers who tell me of how there is a real awakening among some of the WOF and Charismatic ministries they associate with. Many are quietly separating themselves from the extreme teachings, and are praying and seeking God with all their hearts. I'm hearing credible reports of the Spirit of God moving afresh in many areas.
Second, I am blessed to hear that Joe Jordan will begin his monthly Holy Spirit Video conferences in March. I believe this will sow the seeds for a greater move of God's Spirit into many churches and countries. Within just 24 hours of making the announcement, the response has been overwhelming. Many ministries and individuals around the world have already signed up.
Third, I found out just within the last few days that a number of Catholic Charismatics regularly visit this website. This thrills my heart as one of our goals with this website is to reach across denominational lines with the message of the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit. All believers are welcome here.
Microsoft Office live is expanding the possible options for this website. Among other things, soon we will have the ability to integrate a blog into this website. I'm looking forward to making this website more interactive. I want a dialogue, not a monologue.
God bless you all.
Kind Regards,
Brother Mel
