A Word From Brother Mel:
Hello Friends and Ministry Partners,
I've had many requests for more of my sermons, so I have recorded some teaching sessions. One is entitled "Faith Series," and the other is "Mentoring Ministers Series. I think the Faith Series will surprise you. Although I am a Word of Faith person, and I still adhere to the core concepts, I never the less believe that some of the phrasing we use in our teachings along with certain approaches, are counter-productive. So there is also a corrective element to this series. More recordings will be added to both series as I have the opportunity.
I am truly encouraged by the responses we have received from people signing up for Joe Jordan's "Passing the Torch of Pentecost" video conferences. Although Joe has itinerated for 50 years and is known by a wide network of pastors, he has told me that about 80% of the people signing up for the conference so far have been through my site. By far, the majority of you that receive this newsletter have signed up for it.
I can't stress too strongly that if you are interested in receiving this video conference over the internet, contact me asap. There is a limit to the number of people we can accommodate on this first broadcast, and we are close to that limit.
I'm not the kind of person to get excited about the numerous hyped-up conferences that are held every year. For the most part, I don't attend them unless the Lord specifically directs me to. I'm tired of all the extremes that are present in so many of them. However, this conference is not like any of that at all. Joe has over 50 years of experience in ministering in the Spirit. And the people he has assembled to minister with him are of equally high calibur.
Joe told me that he has invited Gil Howard-Browne to be his guest on the first conference. Gil is Rodney's elder brother. Gil contacted me through this website, we set up a time to talk on the phone, and we talked for nearly an hour. What a delightful man. A genuine anointing and no inflated ego--that really blessed me. I believe I've made a new friend. He was very encouraging to me concerning the type of ministry I do and told me he has been listening to some of the recordings on this site. Praise God.
A few days ago, Joe invited me to be his guest on the April video conference, and that was very kind of him. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Spirit of God does through that conference also.
I will close with this observation: I am profoundly encouraged in my spirit. Many ministers are contacting me through this website and sharing their hearts with me. I'm finding that many, many pastors, prophets, and evangelists are getting renewed in their vision of ministry. Many are better separating the extremes from sound teachings. I'm receiving many reports of the Spirit of God moving in fresh new ways in their midst.
Thank you for all the e-mails, and my special thanks to those of you who have become financial partners with this ministry.
Kind Regards,
Brother Mel
