The Goodwins Ministering at Christ For the Nations Institute
Dallas, Texas
"January 12, 1971 Evening Part II"
With Rev. and Mrs. J.R. Goodwin. (Click on title above to hear recording)
Recording Description: This recording begins with Sister Goodwin continuing to tell the story (from Part II) of ministering to a lady who was in their Church.
Sister Goodwin also relates several remarkable experiences in which God revealed details of people's lives to her through the discerning of spirits.
She tells of seeking God for the gift of the interpretation of tongues, and how He said "No," to her. She shares what she believes is the greatest hinderance to being used in the gifts of the Spirit. Then she and Brother Goodwin begin ministering to individuals in the Spirit.
You will hear in this recording, something that we have been very careful about releasing to the public. Namely, one to one ministry. You see, the Goodwins' ministered to hundreds and hundreds of individuals on a a one to one basis in their church. In the Spirit, sometimes they saw flaws and sins in the person's life, and lovingly confronted them about what the Holy Spirit revealed. As you can understand, these are very confidential situations. So with nearly every recording on the original tapes, there is much personal ministry of this sort. And we have chosen to edit those portions out, and release only the sermon part and some of the ministry in the Spirit part of each recording. This is because that even though so many years have passed, the individuals--sometimes identified by name at the Goodwins' church--would not want such personal details of their lives released to the public.
But this recording is of people from the general public at Christ For the Nations Institute, with no one identified by name, and 36 years have passed. Therefore, I feel alright in allowing you to listen in on this kind of one to one personal ministry. Some of it is unintelligible because music and singing is going on in the background. So turn up the volume, listen closely, and be patient. It is truly an education in the Spirit.
