     Among the many things I've learned by listening both to Sister Goodwin and to these rare recordings that I have been entrusted with is that we have wandered far from our roots.  I have been a part of the Charismatic and Word of Faith branch of Christianity for over 25 years, and gladly so.  I still hold to the core teachings.  However, numerous extreme teachings have plagued our movement in recent years, and I seek to correct these teachings and return us to sound teaching and to our roots.  In order to do this, I write a number of articles in which I address the need for Reformation of our branch of Christianity.  In these articles, I address in a straightforward manner the extreme teachings and unscriptural practices I believe must change in order for the Holy Spirit to move in great power again in our midst as in the days of old.  My purpose is not to attack or criticize, but to identify and offer alternatives.

     Many Word of Faith and Charismatic pastors, evangelists, and prophets have contacted me saying that they appreciate me identifying problem areas and suggesting changes, telling me that I'm "right on target."  However, some Christians believe that we should "just preach Jesus," and never examine our faults, discern, judge, and try to correct things.  If this is your belief, then this e-mail newsletter is probably not what you are looking for.  But if, like me and the rest of the subscribers to this newsletter, you realize that we've wandered far from our roots and we need to examine ourselves, correct areas in a loving manner, and turn away from recent extreme teachings, then I think this newsletter would confirm many concerns you've had, and present ideas and solutions that perhaps you haven't considered before.  I invite you to sign up for this newsletter.
